Un-Fix Your Damned ‘Self’

As humans, we need order. We crave it; especially when it comes to other humans. We put people in boxes, and we try to align other peoples behaviours with our own for context.
As such, we brainwash ourselves.
Not only do we fix our own perception of ourselves based on our own limited thoughts, but we also take on board what others say to add into the mix – right or wrong.
We tell ourselves:
- I’m just not creative;
- I’m always late; it’s who I am;
- I’m just not the type to be able to run a marathon;
- I’m just not clever enough.
We define ourselves on a fixed position of ME and I as an entity.
But, it’s not fucking real.
Are you the same person you were a year ago? Five years ago? Since you were a baby? The fact that you are reading this shows that you are looking for future change.
We are all just a bunch of behaviours based on where we are right now.
It’s up to us what we chose next.
As soon as you realise that you are just a collection of behaviours, you can choose to change them. Maybe even just one at a time. But if you can change one, why the fuck can’t you change a lot – the ones you want to change?
Rather than remaining FIXED in your mindset, learn to FLEX.
Flexibility creates choice.
Choice creates more opportunity to flex.
Be the master of flex!
